Last year, the Arpin Sustainability Committee started up an employee-run vegetable garden and it’s back for year two! Just like before, all vegetables grown will be donated to a soup kitchen associated with the Rhode Island Community Food Bank.
Attention all drivers! The Commercial Vehicle Safety Alliance (CVSA)’s International Roadcheck will take place next week, from June 6-8. As many of you already know, it’s the largest targeted enforcement program on commercial motor vehicles in the world.
Memorial Day is next Monday, and while many are excited for a three-day weekend and BBQs, it’s important to remember why we have this holiday. While we celebrate Veterans Day to thank and remember all those that served in our armed forces, Memorial Day is set aside to honor those that died while serving our country.
In our industry, the month of May is famous for being National Moving Month, but it also shares another designation – Global Employee Health and Fitness Month. This event is a month long initiative created by the National Association for Health and Fitness and ACTIVE Life.
