Gear Up For International Roadcheck!

Next week, the Commercial Vehicle Safety Alliance’s (CVSA) 29th Annual International Roadcheck will be taking place from Thursday, June 7 to Saturday, June 9, 2016. It’s crazy to think that in that time period, an average of 17 trucks or buses will be inspected per minute! All of this takes place in the United States, Canada, and Mexico.

For 2016’s International Roadcheck, the violation that will be most scrutinized is tire safety. This ranges from the tread of the tire to making sure it has the appropriate pressure. Along with making sure each vehicle’s tires are up to code, approximately 10,000 CVSA-certified inspectors will be conducting the North American Standard Level 1 Inspection, which happens to be the most thorough roadside inspection to date.

The International Roadcheck itself has been around since 1988 and in that timeframe, more than 1.4 million roadside inspections have been conducted. If you’re an Arpin driver and you’re reading this blog, make sure you’re ready for inspection. We have no doubt all will pass!
