Senior VP Loses 30 Lbs. and Raises $20,000 for Charity

Inspired by his daughter Michaela’s amazing courage in her battle against scoliosis and Ehlers Danlos syndrome, Bob Sullivan, Arpin’s Senior VP of Commercial, chose to embark on a personal mission to improve his health and drop 30 lbs. in three months.

To provide added incentive for his weight loss, Bob pledged $40 for every pound he shed during the 90-day period to the Arpin Strong fund.

A portion of the proceeds were earmarked for four organizations that have provided care to Michaela and have earned a special place in the hearts of the Sullivan family. These are the Spaulding Rehabilitation Center, The Coalition Against Pediatric Pain, the Ehlers Danlos National Foundation and the Curvy Girls Scoliosis Support Group.

Bob’s weight-loss journey captured the imagination of his friends, Arpin coworkers, suppliers and clients, triggering many more donations to support him, Michaela and their charitable causes.

By the official end of the challenge in September, Bob had met his goal and lost 30 pounds. However, the donations did not stop there and as of this writing, he has raised $20,000, far exceeding everyone’s expectations.

As donations continue to roll in, Bob has decided to lose 20 more pounds!

In a letter of thanks, Michaela Sullivan wrote, “Thank you all so much for donating; you are truly making a difference. I appreciate your well wishes over these past few years. You guys are great and I’m blessed to have so many people that care about me. Lastly, I’d like to send a special ‘thank you’ to my dad, Bob Sullivan, for his motivation and strength to lose the weight and help these amazing charities.”
