The First Annual "Moving With Arpin" Contest
Arpin Van Lines is proud to announce the start of a new contest, “Moving With Arpin!” The contest is open to any undergraduate student attending a college or university in the state of Rhode Island. The concept of the contest is to have students create a promotional video about Arpin’s services in the most creative way possible.
Submissions will be uploaded to the Arpin Van Lines’ YouTube® channel, where the public can vote for their favorite video. A cash prize of $1,500 will be awarded to the video submission with the most Likes, along with an iPad and an iTouch awarded to the second and third place finishers respectively. All promo videos are to be no longer than sixty (60) seconds in length.
Here are some important dates:
- September 24, 2012: The contest begins.
- November 30, 2012: Submission(s) deadline.
- December 3, 2012: Videos will be hosted on the Arpin Van Lines’ YouTube® Channel.
- December 31, 2012: Voting ends.
January 4, 2013: Finalists will be contacted.
To get in the spirit of the contest, Arpin created a video to join in on the fun.
“Our Marketing Advisory Board suggested that we create a video contest looking for off-the-wall ideas to help energize our brand. YouTube is the second largest search engine, and with the ease of video production, we felt that was the best avenue to pursue,” said Senior Vice President of Agency Development, Conrad Swanson. “We wanted to jump start the contest, and with a fun idea from Kerrie LaPlante, we pretty much had the premise we were looking for. We were able to cast each of our department members in one of the roles in the video, so it became a fun team-building experience. In the end, we took ideas from all members of our department, put it on video, and created something that was not only fun, but an example of what the Board envisioned.”
