What Do Football and Moving Have in Common? Teamwork is Crucial to Achieving a Successful Outcome
The fight for the coveted Lombardi Trophy will be in the spotlight this weekend when Super Bowl 50 showcases the most talented athletes in football. The big game will pit two teams against each other both vying to be crowned this year’s champion.
At home, millions of people around the world will be glued to their TVs — some watch to root for their favorite team, while others watch just for the hilarious commercials. Regardless of their reason for watching, it’s one of the biggest sporting and media events of the year.
When you really think about it, football and moving share many of the same concepts. In football, the main objective is to get the ball into the end zone. In theory, the same can be said about a customer’s household goods by viewing the “end zone” as the customer’s house at destination.
In both scenarios, teamwork is extremely important. Both teams, for football and moving, need to work together. Think of these parallels:
- Quarterback -> Driver
- Players -> The Moving Crew
For everything to run efficiently, the quarterback and the driver have to manage their teams effectively and call the right plays. When everyone is on the same page, the job gets done. To take things one step further, you can even view the opposing team in football as factors that prohibit your goods from getting to your new home in time, such as inclement weather. Both the quarterback and the driver will do everything they can to overcome these obstacles!
If you’re one of the many watching the big game this weekend, be safe and have fun. If you’re moving this weekend, be sure to cheer your own moving team on!
