David began his career at Arpin in 1974. Since that time, he has worked as a driver and has held positions in Operations, Sales, and Administration. Currently, David serves as the company's President and CEO. In addition, he also serves as Chairman of the Executive Committee and Board of Directors. David is the fourth generation of his family to manage Arpin Group. Outside of the Arpin organization, David has been active in shaping the policy decisions involving the moving industry through his leadership role with the American Moving and Storage Association (AMSA). Currently, David serves as the organizations Chairman. He has also served as its Chairman on the Rates and Tariffs Commission, on the Executive Committee of the Board of Directors, and has held the position of Vice Chairman.
Peter Arpin is the fourth generation of Arpin family members to run the company first established in 1900 by his Great Grandparents. He assumed his current responsibilities as Partner of Arpin International Group in 1989, and also runs its Alaskan and Canadian divisions. During his tenure at Arpin, the company has grown from a single company with annual sales of $5 million, to a group of eight companies with revenue in excess of $180 million. Peter also serves as a member of the company’s Executive Committee and Board of Directors.
Peter’s entrepreneurial spirit is evidenced by his latest business ventures. In 2008, he became President of two new Arpin Group companies, Arpin Renewable Energy and Arpin Broadcast Network, LLC. Arpin Renewable Energy is responsible for all internal environmental auditing across all Arpin Group companies. Peter currently leads a central group of five people working on low-carbon growth research and development initiatives. Arpin Broadcast Network (ABN) is the first web-based television network dedicated to the moving and storage industry. ABN provides the online visitor with dynamic images and multimedia support giving them a powerful e-learning toolset to help facilitate the moving process.
Chief Financial Officer
Mr. Braks is responsible for financial reporting, accounting, planning and budgeting, treasury and accounts payable, agency settlement, credit and collection, equipment control and purchasing. He is also a member of the Board of Directors, and is the Chairman of the Management Committee. Prior to joining Arpin in 1995, Mr. Braks was the Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer for Old Stone Bank in Providence, RI from 1990 to 1994. Prior to joining Old Stone Bank, Mr. Braks spent 25 years with Deloitte & Touche, LLP from 1964 to 1990, where he was a partner. He was a member of the U.S. Army from 1968 to 1970 and holds a Bachelor of Business Administration Degree with an Accounting Major from Manhattan College. Mr. Braks is also a Certified Public Accountant.
Chief Operating Officer
Matt is the Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Arpin Group, Inc. In this capacity, he is responsible for formulating business strategies and operational plans to ensure the competitive position and profitability of all lines of business. Matt works closely with Arpin’s Executive Committee and is a member of its Management Committee. In addition to his role as COO, Matt is Arpin’s Senior Vice President, Military and Government Services. He is responsible for all Arpin Group’s domestic and international military programs. This business line continues to grow under Matt’s leadership. In fact, Arpin annually moves over 14,000 military families with the goal of treating every military member with the same honor and dignity with which they service our nation.
Prior to joining Arpin Group in 2006, Matt had spent the past 23 years in the U.S. Navy. A native of Cranston, Rhode Island, Captain Dolan graduated from the University of Notre Dame in 1983 and received his commission through Navy ROTC. Upon completion of flight training, he was designated a Naval Aviator in May 1985. In October 1993, he received a Master of Science in Operations Research/Applied Mathematics.
Captain Dolan retired with over 4,000 flight hours and numerous personal and unit awards. He is married to the former Claire Lynn Weiland of Pensacola, Florida. They have five children.
Vice President, Human Resources
Ms. Ryan has over 29 years experience as a Human Resource professional working in the transportation, banking, financial services, and real estate industries. At Arpin Group, Pam is responsible for providing overall strategic Human Resource leadership to the company, to include all business lines and divisions. She oversees development and implementation of policies, programs, and services including recruiting, retention, legal compliance, employee communications and relations, compensation and benefits, performance management, and education and training.
In addition, Pam continues to develop and streamline the company’s existing HR function, transforming it into a modern, efficient, electronic and compliant customer service center. She hosts a monthly “HR Manager Roundtable” to foster management skills training and continuity of communication among and between managers and the HR function. She was named to this position in May 2009. Among her professional associations, Pam is an active member of the New England Human Resources Association (NEHRA), Society of Human Resource Management (SHRM), and the Association of Training and Development (ASTC).
Sr. Vice President Commercial Division
Bob has over 20 years experience in the moving and storage industry, including multiple domestic and overseas assignments. His primary responsibilities focus on commercial business development and implementing the overall growth strategies of Arpin Group, Inc. In addition, he represents Arpin at most foreign and domestic transportation-related organizations such as FIDI, LACMA, PAIMA, HHGFAA, ERC, etc. Bob received his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Providence College and his Master of Business Administration from the F.W. Olin School of Management at Babson College.
Sr. Vice President Agency Development
Conrad Swanson is the Senior Vice President of Agency Development, responsible for Arpin Van Lines’ relationship with Agents, as well as the recruitment and training of new agents. Mr. Swanson joined Arpin in 1990 and is a current member of the Management Committee. Prior to his current position, he spent a year developing a Service Improvement department at Arpin Van Lines, Inc. From 2001 through 2007, Mr. Swanson served as General Manager of Arpin of Rhode Island, an Arpin Van Lines company store. He started his career at Arpin, working 11 years as a driver and crew chief servicing Arpin Van Lines’ household relocations. Mr. Swanson has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Economics from Brown University.
General Counsel & Sr. Vice President Global Operations
Marco P. Uriati is the General Counsel and Senior Vice President of Arpin Group, Inc., and the current Chairman of the Legal Advisory Council of the American Moving and Storage Association. Marco is licensed to practice law in the State of Rhode Island, the United States District Court for the District of Rhode Island, the United States Court of Appeals for the First Circuit, and the Supreme Court of the United States of America. In addition to his role as General Counsel, Marco is Arpin's senior vice president in charge of Safety, Claims, and Human Resources and is a member of the Arpin Group Management Committee. Prior to joining Arpin in February 2007, Marco enjoyed a successful private practice as a shareholder of the venerable Rhode Island law firm of Roberts, Carroll, Feldstein & Peirce. During that time, he practiced in both the corporate and litigation arenas and served as Arpin’s outside general counsel for nearly a decade. His areas of practice included transportation law, corporate law, securities law, intellectual property law, business law, complex civil litigation, commercial real estate law, and public affairs and finance law.
Sr. Vice President GSA Services
Mark began his career at Arpin working as a college Intern. Upon earning his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Bryant College, he joined Arpin on a full-time basis. During his tenure, he has held positions as Alaska Relocation Coordinator, GSA (General Services Administration) Manager, and Vice President GSA International, leading him to his current position as Senior Vice President GSA Services. In this capacity, Mark is responsible for overseeing Arpin Group’s domestic and international GSA relationship and services. During the time Mark has been managing the GSA business segment, Arpin has maintained exceptional Customer Satisfaction Index scores.
Sr. Vice President Operations
As Senior Vice President of Operations, Dave is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the Dispatch Department including shipment registration, contact services, and the oversight of owner operators on all domestic moves. Mr. Vieira joined Arpin in 1985 and is a current member of its Management Committee. His many accomplishments at Arpin include restructuring territories in the Dispatch Department, introducing new software programs to streamline operations, and forming an Employees’ Activity Committee. Dave is also an active member of the American Moving and Storage Association.
Among his outside activities, Dave enjoys golfing, biking, exercising and attending live sporting events; however, his favorite pastime is spending time with his family.
Sr. Vice President Information Technology
Mr. Donald Frazier is the Senior Vice President, Information Technology, responsible for managing Arpin Group’s I.T. departments and currently serves on the American Moving & Storage Association’s (AMSA) Data Collection and Reporting Committee. Don joined Arpin Group in 1998 and has over 30 years experience in the I.T. field. Prior to joining Arpin, he served as Vice President and part owner of Transportation Management Systems, a turnkey computer company focused on the needs of and providing solutions for the moving and storage industry and as an Accountant for a large Mid-Atlantic accounting firm. Don holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Accounting and Computer Operations from St. Joseph’s University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and Loyola College in Baltimore, Maryland.
