Early on the first Sunday in November, I joined 35,000 runners gathering on the darkened streets of Shanghai. No need to ask for directions; crowd momentum swept me toward the Bund, and the starting line of the 19th Shanghai International Marathon (or in my care, half-marathon).

On Saturday, December 13, 2014, National Wreaths Across America Day will once again be taking place at Arlington National Cemetery, along with other veterans’ cemeteries in the United States. Throughout the day, members of the military, veterans, families, and volunteers will place wreaths on every gravestone to remember our fallen heroes and honor those who serve our country.
