“I would like to thank you for your help and assistance with this relocation. I am happy to say that this has been by far, the smoothest relocation I have ever had. I am not kidding. From day one, everything has been taken care of extremely well. The delivery went well. Apparently, nothing has suffered or has been damaged. Thank you again for your great work. It has been a real pleasure to be assisted by you and Arpin!”
“Your team is amazing in their communication, attention to detail, and providing excellent customer service to Sabre's employees and their families for their packing, shipping, and storage needs. Moving to and from an assignment can be terribly stressful for all parties involved, but you and your team really go above and beyond the normal expectations to relieve that stress from the employees and their families.”
If you have a Facebook profile and you’ve signed in anytime within the past two weeks, you’ve probably seen people dumping buckets of ice water over their heads. Then, they challenge 3-5 people to do it as well. But what’s the reason?
All of this is being done to raise awareness for ALS, a disease that affects nerve cells in the brain and spinal cord. Motor neutrons start to degenerate and cause the brain to be unable to control muscle movement. Sadly, ALS has a 100% fatal rate.
The disease received national and international attention in 1939 by professional baseball player Lou Gehrig. ALS is commonly referred to as “Lou Gehrig’s disease”.
The challenge was made viral by Beverly, Massachusetts resident Pete Frates, who has lived with ALS since 2012. The rules are simple:
Since the challenge has gone viral, $5.5 million dollars have been raised and 150,000 new donors have given to the cause.
Multiple Arpin agents, drivers, and employees have participated, which has led to some entertaining reaction videos! Some of those that have joined the cause are David Vieira, Conrad Swanson, Mark Dearborn, Brian Asay, Chris Kunzmann, Peter & Diana Mosher, Nathan Howell, Chad Queeney, and John Hayes.
It’s never too late to join the cause, so help raise awareness and donate today!
Arpin is committed to reducing moving waste and giving back to the planet.
