“I would like to thank you for your help and assistance with this relocation. I am happy to say that this has been by far, the smoothest relocation I have ever had. I am not kidding. From day one, everything has been taken care of extremely well. The delivery went well. Apparently, nothing has suffered or has been damaged. Thank you again for your great work. It has been a real pleasure to be assisted by you and Arpin!”
“This was my first major move and I was not as prepared as I should have been, but your guys were so helpful and understanding. They were so efficient and amazing. They worked quickly, and truthfully, it was a pleasure having them. From the moment they walked in, I felt comfortable and knew I was in good hands. You run an unbelievable business.”
The Providence Business News honored Arpin Group in August for being among the healthiest employers in Rhode Island.
Arpin employees have been getting healthier every year since the company began implementing a wellness clinic, which assesses biometrics such as blood pressure and glucose levels. The clinic helps employees identify health problems before they become serious.
“If we don’t catch anything, that’s even better,” said Pam Ryan, vice president of human resources. “But even if we detect a possible condition in one employee, it could save that person a big hospital bill or prevent something even more catastrophic.”
This year, Arpin Group began incentivizing employees to obtain a health assessment, biometric screening and annual physical by offering a $750 company contribution to a single health premium or $1,200 toward a family premium. Next year, the company plans to give up to a 20 percent discount on the premium if a worker completes the process.
The Providence Business News annually recognizes companies – large and small – that have health and wellness initiatives and believe in encouraging employees to adapt healthy lifestyles.
Based on company size, finalists are chosen based upon scores in six wellness categories – culture and leadership commitment, foundation components, strategic planning, communication and marketing, programming and interventions, and reporting and analysis. Top honorees were named in each size category at an August awards luncheon in Providence.
Out of 40 applicants, 28 honorees were chosen based upon a 75-question assessment, scored using a proprietary system that automatically ranks organizations based on their individual answers.
Arpin is committed to reducing moving waste and giving back to the planet.
