Government Services Administration (GSA) Programs

The Arpin GSA pledge: Our effort and attitude towards our customers will never waiver.

GSA’s mission is to “help federal agencies better serve the public by offering, at best value, superior workplaces, expert solutions, acquisition services and management policies.” GSA consists of the Federal Acquisition Service (FAS), the Public Buildings Service (PBS), and various Staff Offices, including the Office of Congressional and Intergovernmental Affairs (OCIA). Eleven Regional Offices extend GSA’s outreach to federal customers nationwide.

The GSA has arrangements with over 250 Transportation Service Providers (TSP’s), both large and small, for shipping the household goods of federal employees the government requires to relocate. All TSP’s must meet the GSA’s strict approval and quality control standards. Each TSP is also ranked based on the level of federal customer satisfaction with its past performance and the percentage discount off its commercial rate. Basic TSP performance requirements and program standards are published in the GSA Household Goods Tender of Service.

The Centralized Household Goods Traffic Management Program (CHAMP) provides federal civilian agencies a framework for efficiently and economically transporting the household goods of their employees both domestically and internationally.
