Arpin Group Management Committee announces new appointments

Arpin Group is pleased to announce that Mark Dearborn, Allison Dickson, Renee Abrantes, and Richard Travisono have been appointed to the Arpin Group Management Committee.

The management committee is responsible for making recommendations and implementing the vision of Arpin’s board of directors; facilitating and overseeing the company’s financial performance, corporate governance, budgeting and asset allocation; overseeing major projects and initiatives; and improving the effectiveness and efficiencies of the company’s management strategies, staffing, and operations across all divisions and business lines.

Dearborn joined Arpin Group in 2000 and has held several management positions since joining the company. In addition to his role as vice president, global accounts and management committee member, he also serves as president of the Arpin Charitable Fund and oversees the day-to-day management of Arpin’s Boston office. Furthermore, Dearborn serves on the board of directors of Marguerite’s Place and FIDI’s Global Charity Committee. Dearborn attended UMass Dartmouth. He resides in Tyngsboro, Massachusetts.

Dickson joined Arpin Group in 1986 and has over 30 years of experience in the moving and storage industry. She was recently promoted to vice president of domestic pricing and account services. Dickson holds membership in the Worldwide ERC®and is designated as a Certified Relocation Professional®(CRP). She holds a degree in science, studied real estate sales, and passed the Rhode Island sales licensing exam. In her spare time, she volunteers with several charitable causes, including the Rhode Island Community Food Bank and the YMCA. She resides in Coventry, Rhode Island.

Abrantes joined Arpin Group in 2002 as an HR generalist and has been promoted throughout her tenure with the company to her current position as director of human resources. In this capacity, Abrantes is responsible for the overall direction of the company’s human resources, payroll, and benefits functions as well as ensuring all company HR-related policies and procedures are documented, implemented, and communicated to all employees and outside stakeholders. Abrantes served a three-year term as a board member for the Rhode Island Society For Human Resource Management (SHRM) from 2015-2018. She resides in West Warwick, Rhode Island.

Travisono joined Arpin Group in 2010 as the company’s director of safety. Due to his thorough understanding of the complex safety issues affecting the moving industry, he has been given the additional responsibilities of director of driver services. Travisono also serves as the vice chairman of the American Moving and Storage Association’s (AMSA) safety management committee and is slated to become its next chairman. Prior to his joining Arpin, he served as a Capitol Police Officer for the State of Rhode Island for 15 years. He resides in Johnston, Rhode Island.
