Mother’s Day Brunch Tips and Recipes

Mother’s Day is just a few days away. We know that most moms will say they don’t need or want anything, but everyone likes to be remembered, especially on such a special day. To help honor the mothers in your life, we have found some delicious brunch recipes that mom will love. Add a card and a small floral bouquet to make mom feel extra special on her day.

For the Healthy Mom

A tasty banana split with a healthy twist is the perfect way for the health-conscious mom to begin Mother’s Day. This super simple recipe can be customized with different toppings, takes just minutes to prepare, and is packed with flavor.

Healthy Banana Split (makes 1)

    1 banana, split lengthwise

    ½ cup of Greek yogurt (your choice of flavor)

    Place the yogurt in the split part of the banana

This is the fun part. Load up your banana split with your choice of fruits, granola, mini semi-sweet chocolate chips and honey. We have found that a mix of strawberries, blueberries and blackberries is especially tasty.

Fruit Salad with Honey Lime Dressing

Combine the following in a large bowl:

    Sliced strawberries

    Chopped pineapple

    Blueberries

    Red grapes (halved)

    Sliced kiwi

    Canned mandarin oranges

    Sliced banana

Mix equal parts of honey and freshly squeezed lime juice. Pour mixture over the fruit, stir, and serve.
