U.S. Household Goods Shipments Will Be Impacted By Hurricane Florence
Hurricane Florence is expected to make landfall late Thursday or early Friday morning in the United State. States of emergency have been declared in North and South Carolina and Virginia. Over one million coastal residents have been ordered to evacuate in advance of the storm.
Several ports along the east coast, including Wilmington, Norfolk, and Charleston, have made early preparations and ceased operations as they are the most vulnerable to the storm. In addition, several containerships scheduled to arrive at those ports in the coming days have changed their routing and port schedules. It is not known when normal operations will resume as large amounts of rainfall is expected to last for several days which could result in flooding.
Your Arpin Service team is aware of all shipments that may be impacted and will make arrangements to ensure appropriate parties are kept informed of any potential service disruption.
