When Will My Things Arrive?
When you started the moving process, you spoke to a salesperson that went over every detail of the move with you. Along with the date(s) when the movers would show up to load your belongings, he or she also gave you a window of time when you should expect to receive your household goods at your new home.
To make your move as seamless and stress-free as possible, we do whatever we can to make sure your goods arrive during your moving spread dates. However, there are two factors that could cause a potential delay that you should be aware of: weather and mechanical breakdowns.
Weather-related delays can occur year-round. During the winter months, snow and ice can make driving very dangerous. Recently, many Americans witnessed this first hand during winter storm Jonas when parts of the mid-Atlantic east coast were buried under three feet of snow. During the spring and summertime, travel can be impacted by hurricanes or other tropical storms. This can lead to delays in reaching your new residence timely.
Another unforeseen occurrence is mechanical breakdowns. Although we do our best to maintain our equipment at optimal levels, sometimes equipment failure can occur. In the unlikely event that anything such as this happens, our Operations team will work around-the-clock to find a solution to get everything back on track to meet the expectations of our customers.
